Discipline Plan
Students are monitored for control of self on an individual basis as well as control in a team or group situation. Our class will brainstorm why we need o have rules. We will discuss the rules for our classroom o that everyone understands. We will discuss the school rules for the playground and the cafeteria. Each child is EXPECTED to obey the rules and understand why rules and consequences are needed.
5th grade Expectations
1. Listen carefully and raise your hand before talking
2. Follow directions
3. Returned signed papers from home on time
4. Complete assignments to the BEST of one's ability
5. Work quietly. DO NOT keep other students from working
6. Respect others. Be Kind!
7. Respect school and personal property

Any behavior related problems that have not been resolved by warning will be noted on the Student Star Sheet, which can be found in the front of student's agendas. It is a students responsibility to have the Star Sheet signed when a Star is lost and returned the next day.
Possible consequences of inappropriate behavior
1. Communication to parent from the student and/or teacher
2. Loss of classroom privileges and/or classroom learning time
3. Recess time used to educate student about mistake and encourage growth
4. A visit to Dr. Pearce or Ms. Hood
